Plot: It chronicles the emotional and professional journeys of two youthful rookie police officers who are assigned to patrol New York City's streets. Officers Zane Marinelli and Mike Dorigan are youthful, irreverent companions who are true products of their urban surroundings and generation; their frequently bloodshot eyes bore witness to the city's everyday workings. To get through their shifts, the two must rely on their sense of humor due to racial difficulties, an overbearing police force, and the erratic and unpredictable conduct of vocal New Yorkers.
