Interviews with individuals involved in the making of Wes Anderson's 1996 film "Bottle Rocket."

To test its top-secret Human Hibernation Project, the Pentagon picks the most average European-Americans it can find - an Army private and a prostitute - and sends them to the year 2505 after a series of freak events. But when they arrive, they find a civilization so dumbed-down that they're the smartest people around.

Bernardo Gigliotti directs this indie psychodrama. Looking to launch a career as a blues guitarist, Bobby (Ron Carlson) moves to Los Angeles and is immediately offered a job playing in a bar. He finds board in the home of Faye (Denise Gentile), who keeps her paralyzed husband in the attic. Things are going well until Bobby realizes that Faye is a murderer.

An aimless young man turns to murder in order to satisfy the desires of his new girlfriend, a narcissistic blue jean fetishist.

Upon his release from a mental hospital following a nervous breakdown, the directionless Anthony joins his friend Dignan, who seems far less sane than the former. Dignan has hatched a harebrained scheme for an as-yet-unspecified crime spree that somehow involves his former boss, the (supposedly) legendary Mr. Henry.

Dysfunctional friends Dignan and Anthony plan and execute a robbery with their pot-growing friend, Bob. The short film that inspired Wes Anderson’s feature debut.
