Plot: Jack can't sing well. He is helped by Ellie, whom he adores. A significant blackout occurs one evening. A bus strikes Jack. When he awakens, the Beatles songs come back to him. Nobody else does. Jack claims ownership of their tunes after playing them. He rises to fame. He regrets lying, though. He is also depressed because he misses Ellie. Jack is forced to decide between his love and his music.

Plot: Lisa was the first person Matt met at a Brookston music event. Beautiful and full of charisma, Lisa, 21, was Matt's ideal lady. Along with cooking together, they attend concerts. Matt was living life daily. They were pretty happy then, though they did fight from time to time. However, Lisa wouldn't allow Matt to drop her off at the airport when the time eventually arrived. Long departure rituals, she remarked, were not her thing. Returned to his own life, Matt wanders the streets in search of solace from Lisa's absence. Lisa will continue living in the United States, on the opposite side of the planet. The movie starts as Matt, many years later, recalls Lisa on the flight.
