Plot: Ellison Oswald, a true-crime author, is struggling; he has yet to have a top seller in almost a decade and is becoming more frantic for success. Thus, he promises to unravel the mystery when he learns about a snuff film depicting a family's murders. After relocating his family to the victim's house, he starts working. But Ellison discovers that residing in the mansion may be lethal when he finds that ancient video footage and other hints point to the existence of a mysterious entity.
