Plot: Wimpie Koekemoer aspires to be cool while being a geek. When the most attractive girl in school, Katrien Swanepoel, chooses him to play rugby, he gets his opportunity. Her goal is to arouse jealousy in her former partner. Wimpie, who has trouble with rugby, befriends Japie and Fanie, who enjoy going out and hanging around with females. In high school, Wimpie must make a decision about his true desires. Bakgat is the art of self-discovery.
